How EPC Investment Process works

Investment & EPC Solutions

Our investment team specializes in securing private, institutional, and strategic funding for revenue-generating infrastructure projects across a range of sectors. We work closely with investors, financial institutions, and project developers to structure funding solutions that align with each project’s objectives and long-term financial performance.

By leveraging innovative financial models, tailored investment strategies, and flexible capital structures, we help clients access the funding they need while maximizing value, reducing financial risk, and supporting sustainable project growth from development through operation.

What Is an EPC Company?

An Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company provides a complete, end-to-end solution for the delivery of complex infrastructure and energy projects. Rather than managing multiple contractors independently, clients work with a single EPC contractor responsible for engineering and design, sourcing equipment and materials, construction management, commissioning, and project handover.

This integrated approach improves coordination, simplifies communication, enhances quality control, and helps ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

How Do EPC Contracts Work?

EPC contracts are designed to provide a streamlined and efficient project delivery model by placing responsibility for the entire project under a single contractor. The EPC contractor manages every stage of the project, including detailed engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, construction, testing, commissioning, and final delivery.

For solar energy projects, EPC contracts simplify the development process by integrating system design, equipment sourcing, installation, grid connection, and performance testing into one coordinated workflow. This approach reduces project complexity, minimizes delays and cost overruns, improves quality assurance, and provides clients with greater certainty regarding project timelines, costs, and operational performance.

Investment Process

Our Management Investment Committee and Board of Directors oversee investments and risks, ensuring systematic evaluation and risk management. Final approvals rest with our independent teams

Our team receives investment opportunities from governments and the private sector. Each opportunity goes through our mandate and priority sector filters to determine if opportunities meet base criteria.

Our Investment team perform initial assessment of feasibility, public and fiscal impact to determine whether the investment opportunity can qualify for Project Acceleration funding. During the Advisory and Acceleration stages, the project remains in the appraisal stage, subject to our independent Board’s approval.

Our experts perform a detailed assessment to define the investment commitment, structure, risk allocation, term and pricing. The investment opportunity is reviewed using our Investment Framework. If satisfactory, our team will negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and term sheet for recommendation to our Board.

A dedicated team negotiates the final investment with counterparties and complete the risk evaluation. Once the conditions are met and our Board approves the investment, closing occurs.

Funding occurs over course of the project. Our team of assets management will work with counterparties to monitor performance, results and outcomes, and provide regular reporting.
